School's Out - Summer Fun!

The school year ended on May 24th for the girls and the 25th for me and I am so ready for a break. I am behind on everything. I had not posted anything here for a month and I'm playing catch-up.

Life has been so busy this year. One of the nicest things that has happened is that Lorraine moved into her new house in January and it has a pool in the backyard. The girls have had so much fun swimming.

Kianna had taken lessons, but really was not a swimmer. A few times in the pool and she is a "FISH". She has so much fun swimming with Caeli and is learning to dive.

When I was at Caiti's wedding, I dropped my camera and broke the lens. It let me take some pictures, but I was disappointed that I did not get many shots that I wanted. I spent a lot of time looking at cameras and finally I bought a new camera that I am thrilled with. On May 19th I had fun playing with the camera and testing all the features out.

I am so happy that the summer is here!

Caiti & Stephen's Wedding

Saturday morning Caiti picked me up and we headed to the salon to get hair done. Caiti was nervous and it was fun to watch. I am so glad that we got to spend that time together.

She smiled the entire time.

Mariah, Caeli and Kianna joined us and got their hair done. Then it was time to head to the church.

We hung all the dresses up and waited for the cake and flowers to be delivered.

Everyone put make-up on.

Mariah took her job as maid-of-honor very seriously and helped Caiti with her make-up.

Caiti's gown was georgous and the girls looked so beautiful.

The bride was not at all nervous waiting to walk down the aisle. Caleb walked up the aisle quickly, but Kianna walked at a slow pace and looked so cute.

I love Caiti and was proud to "give her away". She was so happy to be starting a new life with Stephen.

After the ceremony we went to Paradise Valley Park for Pictures.

Then it back to the reception.

Caiti and Sephen's Rehearsal

After work on Thursday, May 10th we all met at the church for the rehearsal. It was fun to see how happy Caiti was. Kianna was the flower girl and the ring bearer was the groom's nephew who was only 3. I'm not sure if Caleb will walk down the aisle but time will tell.

Caeli was very serious during the rehearsal.

I had so many mixed feelings. I have loved Caiti since she was placed in my arms 22 years ago. She is so happy now, but there is a part of me that is sad that her mother and grandmother could not be there. I was honored that Caiti wanted me to walk her down the aisle.
